Eurovision Song Contest Kyiv
The 62nd edition of the Eurovision Song Contest took place in Kyiv, Ukraine this year. The right to host the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest came after Jamala won the 2016 edition in Stockholm with her song 1944. 42 countries participated in the contest and we had the honor to design and create this year's unique décor.
Decor
In the decor, 1.816 lamps were used with a total weight of almost 4.000 kilos. Besides, 15 cameras were used, 40 people were involved in the construction and 18 trailers with equipment have been brought from the Netherlands to Ukraine. Marco Kempen was leading the project: "We have a floor and a background of LED screens. All kinds of images can be displayed on it. Furthermore, this decor is absolutely unique because we combine it with a 3D projection."
