Eurovision Song Contest Vienna
The 70th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest took place at the Wiener Stadthalle in Vienna, Austria. Once again, Unbranded joined forces with stage designer Florian Wieder to bring his vision to life.
This marks our fifth involvement with the Eurovision Song Contest, following previous editions in Austria (2015), Ukraine (2017), the Netherlands (2021), and Switzerland (2025).
Workshop Hilversum
Pre-production began in December, with our team in Hilversum crafting every element in-house at our workshop. Unbranded handled the full scenic scope: main stage, green room, catwalk, interval acts, and custom props for participating delegations.
The scale of the build speaks for itself:
- 5,142 m² of recyclable stage molton
- 816 linear metres of steel pipes for the flying grid, approximately 3 tonnes
- 3,700+ m² of carpet across the venue and green room
- Stage structure: 210 tonnes / 2,000+ m²
- Passerelle structure (flying): ±70 linear metres / 5.4 tonnes
Vienna, Wiener Stadthalle
After months of preparation, our team shipped everything to Vienna and hit the ground running. Over 11 consecutive days and nights, the full set was assembled on-site at the Wiener Stadthalle.
The stand-out technical feature of this edition was the passerelle. This flying catwalk structure became the visual centrepiece of the show.
Behind every big stage is a team of makers, from the first elements built in Hilversum to the final night in Vienna.
