Riot Games - League of Legends Worlds 2024

The Riot Games - League of Legends Worlds 2024 was more than just a show—it was a spectacle for the ages. Hosted at London’s O2 Arena, this production set new standards and became the heaviest show ever loaded into the venue. To elevate the experience for the performers and audience, we created the players stage, main stage arches, and show flooring. Plus 2 mirrored underworlds for the competitors under the stage; the O2 was transformed into the ultimate esports scene!

The Superbowl of e-sports

The 2024 League of Legends World Championship was an esports tournament for the multiplayer online battle arena video game League of Legends. This annual international event was organized by the game's developer, Riot Games.

The finals took place on November 2 at The O2 Arena in London, where T1 from the League of Legends Champions Korea successfully defended their title by defeating Bilibili Gaming from the League of Legends Pro League, securing the organization's record-extending fifth World Championship.

Over 10 million viewers watched the live stream worldwide, which was simultaneously broadcast in 22 languages through a network of partners.

Main Stage/Players Stage
The stages reflected old Mexican temples with multiple tiers and steep staircases. The players' stage had two automatic lifts that allowed the player desks to rise after the performance, signaling the start of the game.

End Stage/Performance Stage
The End Stage was connected to the Main Stage via a video catwalk. For the End Stage, we created giant arches, the tallest of which was 8 meters high.

Huddle Rooms/tunnels
Under the End Stage, we created two mirrored huddle rooms for the two finalists. A 'huddle room' is a space where teams can discuss tactics and relax. We created concrete plaques with the names of past winners, custom furniture, geometric walls, and bespoke logos.

Projection screen
The game was displayed on a giant projection screen for the 20,000-strong live audience. Each side of the screen measured 12 meters in width and 7 meters in height.
